"After 15 years in Shanghai's restaurant scene, I wanted to create something deeply personal – a place where Turkish hospitality meets Shanghai energy. KAPYA is that dream realized." KAPYA (pronounced kahp-yah) means "gate" in Turkish, and that's exactly what we are: your gateway to authentic Turkish flavors. The name also honors the Kapya pepper – a sweet heirloom variety prized in Turkish kitchens for its versatility and rich flavor when roasted.
